Tuned Duramax Surprises Soldier

Joshua and Kyle served together in Afghanistan in the 2nd Battalion 327th Infantry “No Slack” First Brigade Combat Team with the 101st Airborne Division Air Assault. Kyle asked Joshua to repair the center console in his truck. Without him knowing, Joshua performed a complete makeover on Kyle’s ’07 Chevy 2500HD and returned a tuned Duramax.

Aside from a Ryan’s Diesel drop-in replacement turbo, the engine was bone stock. This is where Banks came in with a bevy of go-fast parts. There are so many in fact, they arrived on a pallet. “I need to take a breather, and take a second and realize exactly what I’m getting myself into.

Parts included a Six-Gun Tuner, a PedalMonster, Ram-Air Intake, Intercooler, Boost Tube kit, 4” Monster Exhaust, iDash SuperGauge, and the Ram-Air Differential Cover. Joshua discusses each part in the video and explains the advantages they lend to the truck. After installing everything, Joshua takes the truck out for a short drive and immediately notices the difference.

The payoff to all of Joshua’s hard work comes when the garage door opens and Kyle sees the overhauled Silverado. It’s an emotional moment and we were thrilled to be a part of it.
