Dream RAM Comes to Life

If Andy could do one thing to his truck, it would be to have Banks performance parts on it. “My dad had a Ram 6.7L work truck, and I guess it’s always been my dream to own one. When I finally was able to purchase one, getting it Banks-equipped was a priority. I did have a 2004 5.9L RAM, but it got totaled after only 2 months. I didn’t have time to do anything to that one, but this one was going to be different!”

Setting out on making this dream RAM, Andy chose a Mega Cab because of the extra room for his family. The Mega Cab has become a rarity, so much so that he had to go out of state to get it in 2020. “I wanted it to be off-road capable, but still retain a comfortable ride for my family, so my first step was going with a Carli full Pintop suspension system.”

Next, I went to Banks to have everything thing they make for it installed by their professionals right at their campus in Azusa, California. Under the hood, they added the Ram-Air Intake, the Monster-Ram Intake Elbow, and Boost Tube Upgrade. I also had a Ram-Air Rear Diff Cover installed since I tow heavy loads. Keeping gear oil temps cool is important to me. Inside, I added three iDash DataMonsters to let me monitor every important temperature and pressure at a glance.” Andy uses the top iDash to control his PedalMonster to eliminate the throttle lag experienced by all RAM owners, both gas and diesel.
