TruckGuyJoe update: Banks Improves 1/4 Mile
Joe Fallon aka truckguyjoe made a trip to his local dragstrip to follow up on a video. In the previous video he raced his stock 2021 Chevy Duramax against a identical 2022 truck. The truck was equipped with the Banks Derringer, iDash, PedalMonster, and Ram-Air. The result: the Banks equipped truck just simply walked away from him. After that eye-opening experience, he was made a believer and set out to order Banks for his truck.
Squeezed in between the video’s opening and his track results are some of Joe’s thoughts on the PedalMonster.

He also demonstrates how you can set the amount of throttle response easily to meet your needs via the Banks iDash. “On this grade, I use to have to really get in the pedal just to get this thing moving and maintain my speed, and now I can just tip-toe the pedal. That’s the beauty of it!”

His stock truck ran 14.50 sec in the quarter mile, while his best run with the PedalMonster, Derringer, and PedalMonster ran the ¼ mile in 14.15 sec. Joe plans on adding the Ram-Air system later.
TruckGuyJoe says “I’m betting that if I get that cold-air intake I can get this truck in the 13s. On a previous truck when I added the Ram-Air it absolutely made a difference! The Ram-Air paired with the Derringer is a great combination. I’m just happy to have the PedalMonster and the Derringer. It makes the driving experience more enjoyable, more confident, more fun!”
