Derringer High Output’s is Ungodly

“I have a 2500, but I should have bought a 3500,” says Ryan Johanson about his 2021 Duramax. “I often pull a lot of weight. I regularly tow a 20-ft snow machine trailer that’s pretty heavy with its 40-gallon fuel tank and propane tanks. I also tow a 40-foot Catamaran boat for the in-laws that weighs 20,000 lbs.”

“When I heard about the new Derringer High Output and iDash Pro, I had to get them! It was replacing the original Derringer and iDash that I already had. I’ve been taking out that snow machine trailer every week lately, and although the OG Derringer was great, the proposition of extra power was too good to pass up. I put the High Output Derringer on level 6, and holy crap, that thing is impressive! It’s a hell of a difference from the last generation of Derringer. The power is UNGODLY! To test it out I raced a friend of mine whose truck is fully deleted and the same year as mine. I beat him! That’s with him having his tune on its highest level and with me having all of my emissions equipment on! I still have a warranty on my truck, so I wanted to keep it factory intact. That’s why I went with the Derringer.”

“There’s a road that I went on the other day that goes from sea level to 3,500 ft, about a 4-mile pull. People were going slow up it, and I put the Deringer High Output on level 3, and I just passed them all. I was pulling three of my snow machines, and it didn’t even feel like the trailer was attached. That’s at least 18,000 pounds, plus all my fuel and equipment. That’s a lot, and my buddy that was riding with me said you can’t even tell that anything’s back there! I’m very, very pleased. The new iDash Pro is awesome. The Bluetooth, oh man! I didn’t mind updating with the SD card before, but Bluetooth is so much easier. I just sat in my garage and pushed its first update from my phone. The screen is a lot clearer than the past one, too. I monitor 8 parameters on one page, and another page is the PedalMonster control.”

“I have a PedalMonster, and it is always on SPORT level 10. It scoots! I used to have a Pedal Commander on my old 2018 Duramax. One time I was towing my snow machines and turned it all the way up, and it put me into limp home mode. I had to find a place to pull over so that I could pull it off so that I could get back on the road. Nope, never again, so I went with the PedalMonster. Just seeing all of the safety features sold me. Never had a problem after that. I also have a Ram-Air Intake.” There’s several other things that I want to purchase, like the Boost Tube Upgrade, the Ram-Air Differential, the Ram-Air Transmission Pan, the CoolRunner Oil Pan, and the Monster-Ram turbine inlet. I’m just looking for the time so that I can install them.
