Gale Banks is designing a high-flow intake system for the Banks Built ’66 Chevy C20 pickup, inspired by the Ram-Air intake system used on the GMC Type-R road race truck. The intake system will utilize two large air filters to maximize airflow into the engine. The team is using laser scanning technology to accurately design and fabricate the engine bay components.
Banks Power is working on a supercharged Duramax engine for a custom project. The team is collaborating with Whipple Superchargers to design a custom supercharger system. They are also developing a custom intercooler to handle the increased airflow and heat generated by the supercharger. The goal is to have the engine ready for the SEMA Show in November.

The Banks team is embarking on a massive project: building a custom 1966 Chevy C20 pickup truck powered by a supercharged Duramax diesel engine. The first step involves removing the cab and bed from the original chassis and preparing them for installation on a new Roadster Shop chassis. The team is racing against time to complete the build and unveil the truck at the SEMA Show.
