Preventative Measures Pay Off

Gary Jetter owns a RAM and turned to Banks for a Monster-Ram as preventative measures to stave off engine bolt failure.

“My main purpose for buying the Monster-Ram was to protect the engine in my 2011 Ram from possible engine failure due to the bolt from the heater grid,” explains Gary Jetter.” I don’t plan on getting rid of this for many years. Knowing that the bolt in the grid heater could cause damage or engine failure, and Banks had a way to eliminate the problem before it can happen, was an investment in my truck that was worth the money.”

He continues, “If I happen to get performance gains then that’s an added benefit in my eyes. I received my order quickly and all of the hardware and parts to do the job were in the box. It took me about six hours to complete the installation. I watched the installation video on the website. It was relatively straightforward and uncomplicated to install. The hardest part for me was reaching the plugs on the wire harnesses to unplug them, but with some patience, it wasn’t too difficult.”

“It feels more responsive, and so far I’m getting about 1-2 mpg better fuel mileage. I have only driven it about 300 miles since installing the Monster-Ram, and couldn’t be happier. I also just put the Banks Ram-Air rear diff cover on it and I love the way it looks, and the fact that it’ll make servicing the diff so much easier.”

Taking preventative measures is important to avoid the dreaded engine bolt failure.
