Monster‑Ram Performance Upgrade: Power & Protection

It took Billy Blankinship a while to find the right truck with all the equipment he wanted, and his search resulted in a 2013 RAM Longhorn that checked all of his boxes. The first thing he did when he got it was to put on a Monster-Ram Upgrade. “My main concern was that heater bolt. I spent a lot of money on the truck, and it’ll probably be my last one. There’s no way that I wanted to ignore that thing dangling in the intake and have it fall in, causing catastrophic damage. At 148,000 miles, I count myself as being lucky that it hadn’t happened already. So, the driving force was longevity for my truck, and I wanted it to breathe easy.”

DIY Monster‑Ram install on RAM Longhorn

Billy was surprised at how easy it was to install. “A friend of mine and I put it on. The Monster-Ram’s install was pretty easy, like a couple of hours, and the fact that everything you need is included with the kit made things even easier. I printed out the instructions, which were really comprehensive. Everything just fit like a glove, no problem at all.”

“The acceleration changed. I definitely felt a difference, I noticed a substantial difference! Not just the sound, but the power output… a healthy dose of it. Now, my racing days are gone, but there are times that I need to get on it, and the Monster-Ram gives me a boost that helps the truck to get going. I’m really, really happy with it.”
