300 HP iDash Equipped Mighty Mite
Sam Rizzo had a dream of getting a Challenger, which eroded rather quickly when he was denied the loan. Defeated, he set his sights on another ride: a 2014 Fiat Abarth. A car roughly half the size of the Challenger, but potent in its own right and a blast to throw around corners. As fate would have it, this little car became the basis of his business: Mas Speed Customs. Sam’s love for the little rocket has spawned a plethora of products from turbo upgrades to internal race components, and his car is the testbed for all of them. The Abarth sports around 300 horsepower.
Another thing Sam’s Fiat is sporting these days is the iDash DataMonster. Sam is using its powerful data logging capabilities to record all of the vitals from dyno runs. Sam regularly emails the recorded data logs to his tuner in Italy so that the tunes can be finely crafted. His opinion of the iDash speaks for itself: “This gauge is a game-changer!
I can record everything I want to and just send my tuner the .csv file. It takes all of the guesswork out of it, making it possible for me to get the new tunes faster and much more accurately. The great thing is that this isn’t just a gauge, it’s a tool that I also use when tuning customers’ cars. In less than a minute I can take it out of one car and use it in another. It’s a really clever little device.”
