Banks Power unveils their new Whipple 3.8L front-drive twin-screw supercharger with a custom 12-rib crank pulley and Twin-Ram 5″ inlet. This supercharger will be used on their new Banks Duramax R866SC 6.6L diesel turnkey crate engine, debuting at the SEMA Show. Banks Power is collaborating with Dragos Toma, a skilled fabricator, to create custom headers for a Duramax engine. The headers are designed to optimize exhaust flow and improve engine performance. This episode of Banks Built showcases the construction of a unique custom truck. The build features a custom supercharger, custom wheels, and a custom truck bed. The team at Banks Power is working closely with Sparc Industries to create a truly one-of-a-kind vehicle. The truck will be unveiled at the SEMA Show in November.
The Banks team is working on a custom 1967 Chevy C20 pickup truck, known as LokJaw. They are collaborating with Empire Fabrication to build a custom bed support assembly to accommodate the supercharged Duramax engine. The team faces challenges during the test fitment process, but they are able to resolve the issues and continue with the project. The next step is to install the custom intake manifold from Kibbetech.
