Unboxing a 2020 Duramax Oil Cooler, the heart of the new Banks Upgrade Kit for 2001-2019 Duramax engines is now available! Kit No. 13252. It’s not every day that Gale gets to unbox his own product, so it’s an especially Christmas-like day!

Why a New Oil Cooler

For 2020, they upgraded the maximum towing capacity from 23,000 LBS to 35,000 LBS. All that added load is going to generate some serious heat. Your truck needs adequate cooling. Although they have an adequate pump, they did not have an adequate oil cooler. That’s until Gale Banks stepped in.

Gale goes through every feature of the product. He explains and compares all the benefits with the previous version. The 2020 version is way better! So Gale is going to repurpose the design and benefits for the 2001-2019 Duramax.

On the next episode, Gale opens a pair of PT6870 Gen 2 turbochargers from Precision Turbo & Engine. These two turbochargers will complement the already potent 7.0-liter supercharged Duramax that is in development for the Diesel Bros’ Brodozer Monster Truck.
