More power, not jewelry
“I know people are going to call me a liar, so I found a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 just in case,” starts Justin from JB Reviews in his latest video. The reason for his statement in this rebuttal video, is to shut down all those who were skeptical of the performance gains that resulted from his installation of the Banks Monster-Ram and Boost Tubes Upgrade Kit on his 2024 GMC Sierra. In his past video titled, ‘Banks Power Humbled The Haters! Tow Test W/ Boost Tubes/Turbo Inlet Prove To Be More Than Ornaments,’ he performed a towing test between his truck with the Banks equipment and a similar stock truck going up the same 6% grade. The results were quicker acceleration, lower intake temperature, and a gain of 7 MPH up his test hill towing the same trailer.
“People say that my truck can’t be any better with the performance features that I added to it,” said Justin defiantly. To prove that the Monster-Ram and Boost Tube Upgrade Kit made the improvements in his test, JP decided to borrow another Duramax-powered truck. This test truck was actually lighter than his and had less fuel in the tank. Justin ran his test back-to-back on the same day. After reaching a maximum of 78 MPH, he went to get his truck. “I’m going to do this all over again because I want to show you guys. I know that they’re just a bunch of pipes, but after the last video, I feel that I need to do this because the temperatures were different, so let’s make that fair. My truck is going to be heavier, have more fuel, and have taller tires. I don’t want to hear any excuses. I’m telling you, there’s a big difference on how these trucks perform!” Due to high traffic, he had to pull out of the throttle early, but not before hitting 79 MPH. “It’s a little warmer now, and if I didn’t have to slow down just now I would have hit 81 MPH.”
Justin summarized his video with a statement directed at the those who commented on his last video, saying that the Monster-Ram and Boost Tubes are nothing more than over-priced engine jewelry that does not grant better performance. “You guys saw that these trucks perform better with Banks. They aren’t paying me to say that. What you saw in this video is proof. I showed you a stock truck vs a modified truck, on the same day. I even put the modified truck at a disadvantage! So, I don’t want any more excuses.”
Justin finished by emphatically saying, “I showed you guys! These things work and I recommend them. The proof is in the pudding.”
