Matthew Melton Wrangling the PedalMonster
Back in February, we wrote about Matthew Melton’s installation and review of the Banks Ram-Air System on his 2021 Jeep Rubicon 3.6L. To say that he was happy with the results would be an understatement. You can see that review here. This time he’s added a PedalMonster throttle controller, and it’s really one of the more informative reviews we’ve seen.
“This isn’t an infomercial. I don’t get paid by Banks. I personally don’t care if they sell a million of these things or ten of them. But from my personal experience in the last few weeks that we’ve had it on here, I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s totally changed the characteristics of how the Jeep drives whenever you’re giving it gas. It just changed it so much that it doesn’t even seem like the same vehicle.”
Matthew does an exceptional job explaining the PedalMonster phone app and how it stacks up against the competition. He continues by going over the features and benefits, including what’s most important to him: the constant 12v power supply and failsafe circuitry. “If you pull out into traffic and something happens the Banks will revert back to stock. If you have a Pedal Commander or Sprint Booster and it fails, you’re going to be sitting there with no pedal. I don’t want to chance getting hit.”
Matthew finishes the video in a very factual tone: “I’m very pleased with the product, and I’m sold on Banks!”
