Merlin Martin: Parts Manager

Texas Complete Truck Center has been in business for 5 years, and in that time, they’ve not only grown in size but also in reputation as an off-road powerhouse. Owner Keith Dunford worked at the local Ford dealership for 15 years before making the jump to opening a business of his own. Being a performance and off-road enthusiast, he felt stifled by the dealer mentality that vehicles needed to be stock. He left the dealership to make Texas Complete Truck Center where he could use his knowledge of repair and maintenance for keeping a vehicle (gas or diesel) running while mixing it up his passion for aftermarket performance. A few of his fellow dealership gear head techs followed him to work for his new business.

Texas Complete has grown in the years since first opening its doors annexing the adjoining building next to it in a small expanding it to roughly 8,000 square foot featuring 11 lifts and 20 repair bays. Expansion doesn’t end there as they just finished purchasing a new property and are currently drawing up plans for a new 15,000 square foot facility.

Texas Complete Truck Center offers more than your typical shop and is a fine example of a truly one-stop shop. Take your sick diesel in to get repaired, and while you’re at it have a lift kit, tires and performance parts installed. Come back next time and bring your wife’s gasoline powered minivan for service. In addition to the service aspect of the business is their affinity off-road performance. Parts Manager Merlin Martin said, “The service and repair side of the business pays the bills, but the passion of the shop will always be off-road.”
