Nuggets Of Wisdom
You may have noticed that we’ve been posting more of Gale’s insights and nuggets of wisdom as 60-second Shorts and Reels across YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. By distilling these concepts down to bite-sized clips and presenting them in short form, more people are experiencing a “light bulb moment” with regard to air density, air restriction, and air mass flow. Many have been viewed millions of times! If you haven’t had a chance to check out these short-form videos, here are three of the most popular clips. They might be the perfect thing to show a friend or family member who just can’t get their head around one of these complex concepts.
Let’s Give It The Pedal
Less insight and more pure joy, Gale free revs the R866SC Supercharged Banks Duramax engine in our show car Lokjaw for the first time. It turns out the world just loves seeing a hot rodder enjoy his creation. And seeing the tachometer go from idle to redline like it’s a sportbike helps too.
Reducing Restriction
Gale talks about the development of the Monster-Ram for the 6.7 Cummins. Every other intake elbow on the market compromises air flow because manufacturers couldn’t provide a re-configured fuel line like we do.
Who’s Got a Big Tube?
Gale reacts to the flow-limiting insert found in S&B’s powerstoke intake. Aside from the fact that this is a hot air intake reducing the power potential of your truck, the insert reduces any mass flow gains you might have gotten from a larger tube. The purpose of the insert is to ensure that the MAF sensor reads correctly, but on our new line of Ram-Air intake systems, we make those corrections electronically ensuring you’re getting the highest mass flow a larger tube can offer.
