65% Better: Killing a Duramax Pt 6

Gale Banks fired up the new Precision turbo this week for comparison to stock and it turns out, it’s 65% better. This larger, more efficient turbo will have no problem pushing the Duramax way past 600 hp. Watch part 6 in the ongoing series. And, yes, Gale actually intends to blow up the engine, but not until he’s milked it for every ounce of data.

The Precision turbo is 65% better than stock.

The Precision turbo is massively capable and as it turns out, quite efficient. It burned five percent less fuel, with lower EGTS, and a better air-fuel ratio. The new turbo also improved volumetric efficiency.

In the next episode, Gale cranks the engine beyond 600 horsepower to get stratospheric. He will be joined by a special guest Kory Willis from Louisiana. The two discuss how they’re going to push the engine harder than ever before.

Watch episode seven to see if Gale finally kills the Duramax.
