00:01 hey everybody welcome back to the channel I’m bearded Forte if you’re new here welcome to the channel if you’re not new welcome back like I just said a minute ago today we’re going to be going over this Banks product 64412 this is a relocation kit for the map sensor manifold absolute pressure
00:18 sensor for the 2020 through 2024 67 Power Stroke so without further Ado let’s get into it this relocation kit I want to give a big shout out to Banks they have amazing products they sent this to me and we’re going to go over what’s in the box and we’re actually going to go
00:49 install it on a 2020 truck over here but if you need to know how to install it when you order one it comes with this really cool paper where you can scan the QR code and it’ll take you right to the installation instructions that’s in the Box what else we get in the Box here two new 10 mm bolts 4 mm
01:13 hex 4 mm Allen and this nice spacer for the map sensor which already has the O-ring installed on it this thing is this is a beautiful beautiful piece of equipment very nice nicely cut very smooth no sharp edges very easy to install I was and I I love the banks logo and the map
01:40 sensor is going to go right here and it’s we’re going to take the metal bracket off take the sensor out sensor is going to mount into here this will sit where the metal bracket was and this keeps it from getting all that oily residue that comes up into the intake from the exhaust
01:58 stream the original sensor sits down now you’re going to see when we do it on the truck but it takes it from this position and puts it over here like I said it keeps the oily residue out of it or minimizes the oily residue and it extends the service life of these
02:14 sensors because they get so clogged up all the time so let’s get it over here to the truck and let’s get it installed on this 20267 over here so that is the map sensor right here has that metal bracket on it right here 8 mm and there’s an 8 mm on the other side and then you have this 7 mm
02:35 right here that’s the sensor itself this is the metal bracket this is an emergency vehicle yours is not going to have this big harness going across here so the the three wrenches that you’re going to need 8 mm to take the bracket off 7 mm to take the sensor out and a 10 mm to put the new bracket
02:58 in cuz you’re going to reuse the the 7 mm nut to attach it to the spacer and then you’re going to use this 4 mm that’s going to screw into that right there so I’m going to take oh you’re going to disconnect the batteries I’ve already got the batteries disconnected on this oh that’s a 10 not an
03:24 eight excuse me I had a 10 in my hand not a eight this is a 8 mm you’re not going to reuse these so you’re going to have two spare bolts and a and a metal bracket that’s a tight fit too there we go I’m going to leave that one kind of semi loose so I can get my hand back there to the other
04:25 one that’s right just opposite be careful when you do this you do not want to drop your wrench like I just did but it hit the ground thank God see got my wrench back that one I got lucky it hit the ground I don’t want to do that again really don’t want to have to go digging into an engine
05:12 bay to find my expensive wrench so I got my left hand wrapped around it and I got my finger holding on the top of it I know it’s hard to see in there I do apologize make sure I got my wrench in my hand there’s the bolt it is kind of a tight fit just be patient there’s the
05:52 bolt bolt not going to be reusing that there’s the other bolt and the plate not sits on top of the sensor just like that 8 mil 8 mil not going to be reusing that 7 mm you cannot get a socket on this one it is sitting so low so what I do I may just instead of unplugging and I may just leave it plugged
06:48 in and then connect it to the don’t want to drop this bolt either you’re going to wiggle and wiggle and pull up comes out so this one is not super bad but it ain’t super clean either see how that goes in there and you’re going to re use that same 7 mm like so this is going to go under here
08:01 o-ring sits on top like so 10 mm bolt like so I’m just getting it finger finger started there we go this the two 10 mil bolts and I’m going to leave them loose and then grab this last one this little small guy and that’s what’s going to seal it to the intake use the provided 4
09:56 mimet and be sure not to drop your tools snug put that back in the box and you grab your 10 cuz these are tens now not Eights that was tight don’t want to drop my wrench again and that’s it install complete that is how you put it in let’s see what it looks like sorry about the movement look at
11:12 that up and out of the way out of the exhaust stream very clean install very clean there you have it there’s the two 8 mm bolts in the metal bracket that we don’t need anymore keep that just in case you’ll ever need it again put it in the safe place obviously you see we used
11:34 everything out of the box except for this really cool 4mm allen wrench that Banks is nice enough to provide for you everybody give Banks a big thank you and the only other tools that you will need is three wrenches 7 8 10 don’t drop it like I did I got lucky and it hit the ground but that
11:57 install you disconnect the battery let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes install it just like that connect your batteries you’re good to go the reason you want to disconnect the batteries is it may throw a check engine light if you unplug it I didn’t unplug it when I installed I had
12:11 enough room to connect it to the spacer so hope you guys enjoyed the video thank you bank’s performance for letting me do a video on such an amazing product if anybody else is interested in getting one of these products I’ll leave a link down in the description and in the pin
12:26 comments and while you’re at it head on over to the merchandise store grab yourself a T-shirt and a sticker and I will leave a link down in the description for that as well as always I love you guys and I’ll see you on the next one
Anthony, the Bearded Ford Tech, recently installed a Banks MAP Sensor Relocation Kit in his customer’s 2020-2024 Power Stroke. The Fayetteville, North Carolina Ford Master Mechanic shows just how easy it is to install the small billet aluminum device that moves the MAP sensor out of the way of the dirty exhaust gas stream, extending its life and keeping your truck running at its best.

“Very clean install. Very clean,” says Anthony as he wraps up. “Thank you, Banks, for such an amazing product.”
For another look at how dirty MAP sensors can affect your truck’s performance, check out ARod’s install of the same Banks MAP Relocation Kit on a 2022 F-250 Power Stroke.
