Six-Gun Duramax Tuner Upgrades: Proven Performance
“My truck is a 2004.5 GMC Sierra Duramax 6.6L LLY that has been in the family since it was brand new,” says Roger Christensen in a phone interview. “I inherited it from my father and have done all of the maintenance since its first oil change. We installed the Six-Gun Tuner with a switch, Ram-Air, Super Scoop, Monster Exhaust, and mechanical boost and EGT gauges. The tuner and exhaust have been on—gosh, right after we bought it. The intake was put on in 2021.”

“I’m a fan of Banks. Everything still works fantastic, and I have had great use from the products for years. They’ve all done what they were advertised to do and have not harmed my truck in the slightest. It’s one of the reasons why we went with Banks over other stuff in the market, and it’s a testament to the engineering that went into each of these products.”

“The next Banks parts to go on will be the Intercooler Upgrade and Boost Tubes. They’re sitting in my garage right now.” With the intercooler upgrade, Roger’s intake and exhaust gas temps will drop which will help the engine maintain maximum power long after the stock intercooler was heat saturated and causing engine derate. Cooler temps are thanks to a huge inlet and outlet and 25% larger core area with a whopping 34% improvement in volume.

Right now I’ve been working on my Jeep which might end up with Banks on it, too.”
