PedalMonster Invigorates RAM
Ron Seal wanted something different for his 2018 RAM, something that gave him performance without straining vital components. Enter the PedalMonster. “I just installed the PedalMonster because I needed a little more pep in the step of my truck,” says Ron. This is his first Banks product, and something out of the ordinary for him because he usually opts for reflashing his truck’s ECU. “With my 18 RAM, I wanted to try something other than a programmer. I had a 2005 Dodge years ago, and it was actually too much power. It kept taking out my transmission. I wanted to do something a little more laid back that gave me a better throttle response. I read a lot of reviews about Pedal Commander and all the rest, but I’ve been into diesel for a long time, and Banks has always stood out. I figured this go-around I’d try the PedalMonster. I also ordered the Monster-Ram and the Boost Tube Upgrade Kit.”
Ron put the PedalMonster on first and took his daily-driven truck for a test. “The changes to the truck with just the PedalMonster on were immediate and drastic! I picked a route to run it, and it drove stock. Then, I switched to CITY mode on level 10 and noticed a big change. Next was SPORT, which noted a drastic change. Then I put it in TRACK mode, which was an amazing difference. Since I drive a lot with this truck, I keep it in CITY mode. I tow my 31ft travel trailer, which weighs shy of 10,000 pounds, and the PedalMonster gives me more confidence when merging in traffic. I also use the truck for work, like I just hauled a giant air-wench cable system that weighs in at about 2,000 pounds from Illinois to Minnesota. I wish I had the PedalMonster for that one. Overall, I am pleased with the PedalMonster and have already recommended it to my friends.”
