Bundle Gives Jeep New Life

Christopher G.’s family Jeep Wrangler has seen a lot of action in its journey of 240,000 miles. That’s why he chose a Banks bundle to keep it running. When came time to replace the stock exhaust manifold, his search for a replacement lead him to Banks. It was the Power Pack that caught his eye, but we’ll let him tell the story. 

“My 1999 TJ had developed an exhaust leak as most Wranglers do. I figured I would see what options I had versus the stock exhaust. Through my research of Jeep parts, I found the ‘Power Pack Bundle‘ on the Banks’ website. The bundle had everything I wanted for the exhaust and some additional upgrades I’ve already been looking into. The kit came with a Banks Ram-Air, Revolver Headers, Monster Exhaust, and an AutoMind 2 Programmer. After installing the Intake, headers, and exhaust, I started the old 4.0L to ensure everything was good to go before tuning the ECM with the Automind programmer. HOLY TACOS did it sound good! Between the new Banks header, the freer flowing muffler, and the new air intake, it was night and day. I opted for what I believed would be a mild tune. Super easy and effortless. From plug-in to completion was maybe 10 minutes.” 

“I got back home, grabbed the wife and kids and we went driving. That was an immediate and noticeable difference in throttle response, power, and of course sound. I even chirped the tires going into second at one point. It’s like a whole different vehicle. If you are on the fence, just go for it. You will not be disappointed.
