Banks R&D Inspires Henry Brown

Henry Brown is the owner of a third-generation auto dealer. Although the Brown family has owned several dealerships in a variety of locations, this Henry Brown Buick GMC store is located near the original Chevy store that his grandfather founded. HB Buick GMC is definitely a family-owned and operated business with many of the family members working there from various management positions to selling cars.

Evan Echols, Manager of Henry Brown Customs, was already an expert in aftermarket performance parts when he was asked to open up a division just for that in the store in 2007. It eventually evolved into HB Customs and added 11 dedicated employees. Back then HB and Evan were installing just everything under the sun, but because GM became so stringent concerning upgrades, Evan and his crew needed to be careful about what they sold and installed. Wheels, tires, lifts, interiors—most anything is fair game unless it’s engine or an ECU re-flashing.

That’s where Banks comes in. Evan says “While we sell other Banks products like intakes and exhaust systems, it’s the PedalMonster that we sell a ton of. Because it doesn’t reprogram the vehicle’s computer. And because of all the safety features, the R&D, the fact that the customer can control it with their cell phone, and really the great support from Banks, we have full confidence in the product.”
