25 Years of Being a Fan Pays Off

Keith Varga’s wife wasn’t impressed with their new GMC Sierra with its 6.6L Duramax when they brought it home in 2020. “My wife was pretty disappointed when we first bought the truck asking me if ‘that’s all it had’. That’s where Banks came in.” Keith has been a Banks fan for 25 years.

After being a fan for 25 years, Keith got to install all the Banks parts he wanted on his GMC Sierra

“When I was just getting out of high school I used to read Road & Track and other automotive magazines. Banks was always featured with products like the Six-Gun tunerSpeedBrake, and the AutoMind tuner. That’s what put Banks on my radar. I started with the Derringer, and that helped out a lot. The Boost Tubes were next, and I thought that made a significant improvement. Letting the truck breathe better and adding some great sound. But that wasn’t the end, I just kept adding the Banks improvements. It all paid off because the wife now loves the power. Plus, the truck tows our boat without even feeling it.”

He has a second iDash beneath the factory dash

“When it came to the Yukon with 3.0L baby Duramax, I didn’t get any complaints from the wife on the performance side of it, but I wanted more. The PedalMonster makes it peppier, and so much more aggressive. It takes that lag away. Since it’s her daily driver I added an iDash SuperGauge for easy PedalMonster adjustment. Plus, the iDash lets me keep an eye on so many different pressures, temps, and diagnostics.”

“It all works, and it does so without screwing with the warranty and feels more ‘O.E.’ than other things I’ve tried. I really enjoy everything that Banks does!”

We’re glad you finally got your Banks’d out Duramax, Keith! Cheers to another 25 years.
