Unboxing a Lincoln 4510 Plasma Table
Watch Gale Banks explain why the fabrication department chose the new Lincoln Torchmate 4510 CNC plasma table for fast, accurate, and cost-effective cutting of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The system compliments Banks’ existing manufacturing equipment, allowing the team to create one-off parts fast and easily without tying up the production laser. Gale also provides a fascinating history lesson on Lincoln’s prolific founder. Watch Engineering Unboxed® here.

One of the reasons why the Torchmate 4510 CNC was needed is because Erik Reider is building out a new Dyno Cell. There are a ton of hangers, mounts, and shelves that need to be cut out to precise dimensions.
The Lincoln Electric Company was founded by John Cromwell Lincoln in 1895. John filed for 55 patents over his lifetime. Always a significantly forward thinker, the company sold charges for electric automobiles around the turn of the century. The biggest shock, John invented the variable-speed electric motor. That is truly innovative! However, the invention that really put him on the map came in 1911.
