Banks Twin-Turbo V6 DeLorean

World’s Fastest DeLorean

Gale Banks Engineering, a firm located in Azusa, CA, makes a habit of taking sports cars and turning them into absolute fire-breathing animals that get attention. Banks’ firm (yes, there really is a Gale Banks) is perhaps best known to the general motoring public as a supplier of turbo systems for diesel engines used in Ford and Chevy trucks.

Thanks to Banks Power, this car provides the neck snapping acceleration the DeLorean body had always promised. Under full throttle it wants to go sideways, it doesn’t want to turn, it can’t slow itself down especially well, and the front end is so light you’re never positive the front tires are on the road, much less doing an adequate job of steering.
