Twin Diesel Performance

Brian Goodwald may have opened up the business with his twin-brother David, but he got into the game about a year and a half earlier than him working as a teen at a small independent shop doing tire and oil changes. After some time he left the shop to work side-by-side with his brother working on heavy equipment and semi engines for about 4 years. Right after that Brian went into the military for the next 4 years leaving in 2014.

Upon leaving the military he did a lot of side work repairing diesels with his brother to the point where they actually became overwhelmed with the amount of customers that they were getting. Both brothers decided that they really needed to make the business a legitimate full-time gig and that they should open a shop, so in 2015 Twin Diesel Performance was born.

“We took the step that a lot of folks are afraid to do and put it all on the table,” explains Brian, “but it’s been a blessing ever since. Here we are 5 years later and we’re one of the most thriving diesel shops in Central Florida. We ended up naming it after something that people normally associate with “twin” anything, like turbos or whatever the case may be. It’s actually a play on words because of my brother and me being twins.”

Currently Brian, his brother and their team of techs specialize in the repair and maintenance of diesels only, and they have plans in the next couple of years to expand the business to a larger facility to incorporate semi repairs. All together they are well-versed on all of the diesels that are on the road, so a customer doesn’t have to look for a shop that only specializes in a particular make.

When Brian was asked to explain what sets Twin Diesel Performance apart from the rest of the shops out there his answer was one word: Integrity. “There’s no two ways about it… I feel like a shop can function properly with integrity. I don’t care if you’re a bum off the street or have Trump money, we treat everyone the same. We don’t want to break down, and we don’t expect our customers to do so either! It’s one of the reasons we like Banks products so much. Our work is honest, the products are honest, and at the end of it all we are in this for an honest day’s pay.”
