UNBOXING Turbosmart Wastegates!

UNBOXING Turbosmart Wastegates!

UNBOXING Turbosmart Gen-V Wastegates and Big Bubba Blow-Off Valves. Watch as Gale explains how they’ll be used on the supercharged twin-turbo 7L Duramax. New episode every Wednesday!

https://youtu.be/tGoa0Zwubf4

We’re using Turbosmart wastegates to bypass the blower. The way it works is there is a diaphragm with a spring, so you use boost pressure to overcome the spring pressure and lift the valve off the seat. Putting valve position indicators on the heads will let the team know how far off the seat the valve is at any time. Of course, this can be modulated to vary the boost needed.

Gale has used Turbosmart Wastegates on projects before and was the subject of an R&D article. If Gale uses it, you know it’s a product you can trust.

It’s really like Christmas in this episode because Gale gets a new knife from Milwaukee Tool. On the next episode, an $8,000 Endress+Hauser Coriolis Fuel Flow Meter. Gale explains how it works and why it’ll be a game-changer for product development. Keyword: Brake-Specific Fuel Consumption. Watch to learn more about what that is. Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube Channel and the Banks Insider to stay up-to-date on all the happenings around Banks.
