Steve and Terri opened Crouse Automotive at the beginning of 2018 with just Steven and another tech as a small three-bay shop near their home. It had been a dream of Steven’s to leave his job and have his own business for as long as his wife could remember. Steven had been working in a race car fabrication shop, getting up at 4:30 in the morning for work while getting home at midnight and it was just too much on the couple. They decided to make the jump to open their shop, and while they expected to have race car customers, their main customer base now included automotive, diesel, and fleet maintenance. Soon after opening the business, the beginning of 2020 to be exact, they found that they had more clients than they bargained for and needed more space. They moved into a 16,000 sq ft facility with ten lifts, constantly offering new services to their customers.

An interesting part of Steven’s story with Banks is that he has been buying the brand since he was 18 years old. His father and his uncle bought Banks product before him, even still owning a boat with a Banks Twin-Turbo marine engine back in the late ’80s that still runs today. “It’s just something I’ve always known,” he said. “Banks products are something I’ll always support. And I like offering it to my customers because it’s something that I believe in. In my opinion, Banks is the preferred option over having your truck “deleted” because you basically get the same results without messing things up or being illegal.”
