Volvo – future powertrain development program

Commissioned by Volvo of Sweden to design turbocharged engines. Banks develops the world’s first electronically injected oxygen-sensing turbocharged engine for Volvo.

Yet another future powertrain development program, this time for Volvo. Banks developed the World’s first electronically injected, O2 sensing turbocharged engine for them. This efficient platform set Volvo on their way to making the turbo engine a popular option in the early 80’s and beyond.
