Tundra Test Pilot Briefing

Rance Chamblee was one of our Banks Test Pilots testing the compatibility of the Banks PedalMonster with his new truck. “I have a ’22 Toyota Tundra SR5 and my only modifications are a leveling kit and 20-inch wheels with 295/60R20 tires. With the new wheels and tires, I was receiving a bad delay when pressing the accelerator from a complete stop or from lower speeds. The Pedal Monster eliminated it…even on the lowest City sittings in the app, I get an almost immediate response.”

Rance wasn’t a stranger to accelerator boosters having had a competitor’s version on his other truck. “I had a Pedal Commander in my GMC Silverado 1500, and I hated it…took it out after 3 months! If I stepped on it and got over 4,000 RPM, for example, it would error out and go into Economy mode. It drove me nuts, the Economy mode on it was terrible! I would step on it and barely escape traffic, then I had to fumble around for my phone to turn off.”

Another feature Rance likes is the PedalMonster’s Reverse Safety feature. “This worked perfectly! I imagine it’s reverting to ‘stock’ mode while in reverse and if it is, it works perfectly.”
