Nothing but Banks for this Duramax
For Ely Hernandez, the main reason for building up his 2020 GMC 2500 HD is to take his family camping and tow his FJ Cruiser. If someone doesn’t want to come along when he’s hitting the trails in the FJ, then they can just stay back with the GMC in comfort. Ely says that he’s about 90% done with the build.
Over time, Ely has outfitted his Sierra with the Banks iDash SuperGauge, Derringer Tuner, Ram-Air, Boost Tube Upgrade, and 5″ Monster Exhaust. Most recently the Ram-Air Differential Cover was installed at Banks in Azusa, California. He has everything Banks makes for his GMC so that he can have the power and fuel economy to take his family and toys just about anywhere he wants to go with confidence. There’s just one more thing that Banks makes for the truck, and that’s the PedalMonster. “I had already had the competitive product installed before the Banks one was introduced, but I’ve been thinking about removing it and getting the Pedalmonster.”
Ely did all the installations in steps, that way he could test and feel the difference in all parts individually. “I really could feel the difference. I mean, each time behind the wheel just put a smile on my face. Playing with the Derringer and its different power levels and feeling the differences—wow! Everything all together has been great, and for a truck that weighs over 11,000 pounds, I’m getting great mileage.”
