PedalMonster C8 Corvette Upgrade: Instant Throttle Response

“This thing feels like a race car,” say Don Russell excitedly after installing a PedalMonster in his already powerful ’22 C8 Corvette. After a quick install tutorial and a demonstration of the basic functions of the PedalMonster phone app, Don takes off for his test drive. “It’s crazy! There’s no lag at all in throttle. As soon as you hit it, it’s taking off!” Buckle up, because his POV while driving will definitely give you the sensation of acceleration that he’s experiencing.

“I ain’t going to lie, this feels like a whole new car. Yeah, this is definitely worth the money, and you don’t have to worry about the check engine light coming on or it going into limp home mode like other throttle controllers. They’ve got a lot of dope technology in this. I recommend it.”

When we released PedalMonster, we made all other throttle response controllers obsolete. None have failsafe circuitry. None have Reverse Safety. None have Tip-In Control. None have OBD connectivity. PedalMonster has it all.

00:06 what’s good fam welcome back to the Russell muscle YouTube channel today we’re going to be installing the banks power with pedal monster in the C8 so without further Ado let’s get into it first thing we going to do is unhook positive cable from the battery so you going to move these two side

00:22 pieces then this middle piece the battery right there got a piece remov they pretty much just pop out and when you put them back you click them in place but about to remove this positive cable got the battery cable removed with a 10 mm socket you also want to have the

00:37 door open before you unhook the battery but let’s get into the next step got the box open and this the first thing you see so you want to make sure you remove it before you go to the dealer so they don’t try to give you no issues with the warranty I guess but yeah here it is got another wire in

01:02 yeah so let’s get into the install all right so the first step what we’re going to do is cuz we going to plug this in first we going to find the plug that’s plugged into our throttle going to unplug it plug this into the throttle then we’re going to plug this into that plug that we unplug all right

01:18 it’s a little tight back there but this plug is going to be plugged in with the red facing that way so all you going to do is pull this real red tab up push this in and then pull it out but it’s tucked in behind this part so again looking at your gas pedal you going to

01:34 take this with the red tab plug it in that way behind the pedal where that plug came out at then you going to take this and plug that plug into here all right so we got all the plugs plugged in can’t see that one down there but this the plug they plug into the plug coming

01:50 from the car so let’s get into the next step next you’re going to take this a six pin you going to plug it into either side it don’t matter next what you’re going to do is connect your OBD cable to the adapter right there then you going to plug the OBD cable into the OBD

02:15 Port next thing we’re going to do is reconnect the battery and also I got this up y’all can see I install the glass I got this coming next I’m going either do a custom job I put a window in this one itself or either order one and then I also got the engine cover but

02:31 that’s in another video This was done in the last video y’all go check it out putting the trim pieces back on again you just going to put it in place and click in everything back in place on to the next step as y’all can see it got power Next Step you want to do is turn the car

02:49 on without starting the ignition just put it in the own position for the rest of the install since I can’t record and show y’all what is is doing on my phone you just got to scan this QR code and it’s going to walk you through everything everything synced up the pedal is calibrated with the app

03:09 and so the next clip y’all will see is the test drive let’s get into it all right right now I got it in sport mode I got it turned all the way up and I’m going to try to get my son phone when I get back to show y’all what it look like on the app but basically it’s

03:21 two gauges one show you the stock pedal response the other one show you the pedal response with the pedal monster hooked up to it and so as you press the throttle you’ll see the pedal response with the pedal monster hooked up to it go up quicker than the stock pedal response and so

03:36 it’s basically giving you a comparison live on the app and then you got a dial all the way to the left to where you can turn it up or down on how much you want the pedal monster to affect your throttle response but uh yeah I got it in sport mode got it all the way turned up about to see what it feel

03:54 like oh yeah you can already feel the difference put you back in the seat and it’s just sport mode pull over and see what track mode feel like all right I got in track mode now up to the highest level can already feel the difference yes sir no this thing feel like a race car it’s crazy

04:30 there no lag at all in the throttle soon as you hit it it’s taking off good traction control off and get the full feel of it it’s crazy soon as I took off I felt the tire spinning so yeah it is definitely worth the money you ain’t got to worry about the check engine light coming on or

05:02 going in lip mode like the other throttle controllers because it hook up to the OBD Port so it kind of eliminated a lot of those issues they got a lot of dope technology in this from what I’ve been researching so I recommend it I ain’t going to lie this crazy it feel like a whole another car like

05:31 instant power and give y’all one last pull so this what the app look like as y’all can see you got the two gauges so right now it’s in city but you put it in sport you can put it in track then it got power levels so you turn the level up and down and then like I said this a

06:27 standard throttle response this is Banks throttle response so see how quick that go up compared to the standard so it’s dope then you also can put it back in stock let it just give you one bar but I’mma leave it in a sport appreciate y’all for tuning in stay locked in for the next one much love and

06:53 God bless
