Logan Schneider credits his love for diesels and working on them with his first install ever at the age of 15: a Banks Sidewinder Turbo Kit that he put on a ’93 Ford F-250 with a 7.3-liter IDI engine in the back of his father’s NAPA Auto Parts Store. From that moment he knew exactly what he wanted to do in life. First heading to UTI in Houston, then quickly getting a job at Diesel Innovations as the 6.0-liter Power Stroke engine expert. He moved on to another diesel shop becoming their go-to guy for the Ford 6.0- and 6.4-liter engines.
From there he went to a job working on industrial vehicles. He spent his off-time repairing his friends’ and neighbors’ trucks. Renting a single bay shop, he soon found himself with more business than the little place could hold. So, in 2009 he opened his own shop, and through the years has grown it into two locations—with his eyes set on expanding his shop CenTex Diesel yet again. “One of our facilities is roughly 5,000 sq ft with a 2-acre yard”, said Logan, “but we’re looking to buy the property that we’re on to expand another 5,000 sq ft. My Houston location is already at 10,000 sq ft.”
Aside from supplying the community with reliable repair and maintenance, Logan and his team are no strangers to building off-road, pure performance, and unique show trucks. For his customers that are looking for reliable, emissions-friendly power Logan trusts Banks. “I’m a big fan of Banks airflow enhancement products. Any time you can improve the way a vehicle breathes, you benefit. And, the intakes and intercoolers make a huge difference. Products like the PedalMonster and the Derringer are easy installs, and they make safe power that the customers really love.”
From repair to custom performance vehicle builds, Logan’s CenTex Diesel brings a wealth of experience and reliability that all started out like a teenager’s dream and a wrench.
