Designing the Perfect Engine Bay | BB Ep 18

Gale and Erik are joined by Sean Ramage from Empire Fabrication to start designing the perfect engine bay. Be a fly on the wall as the metal shaper dissects LokJaw, walking us through every step of the build; from the engine bay to articulating bed. Having worked on AMBR (America’s Most Beautiful Roadster) Award-winning showstoppers to famous Fast & Furious muscle cars, Ramage has the skills to turn our rusty ’66 Chevy pickup into something special. Sit back and enjoy.

Gale and Sean planning on the design for LokJaw's engine bay.

Designing the engine bay is especially difficult because of the mechanics needed to make the articulating bed function. They consult with the CAD team to see how much space is allowed for the wheel and tire setup. After that, they calculate the motor flex.
