Teaching Aid by Banks

Just one day after posting, Banks Speed School found its way into several classrooms as a teaching aid. For example, Students in Millville High School’s Auto Technology Level 1 were treated to Gale Banks’ deep dive into synthetic motor oil. Apparently, the video fit in perfectly, as this week’s curriculum included discussions about oil types, viscosities, additives, and molecular composition.

In the Banks video that is used as a teaching aid, Gale goes to Amsoil to discuss everything there is to know about motor oil.

This isn’t the first time instructor Kyle Platt has used Banks videos as a teaching aid. He’s also taught classes using Gale’s videos on camshaft design, Killing A Duramax, and others. His New Jersey students spend three days in the classroom and two days in the shop. In the shop, they put their newfound knowledge to use.
