Banks Racing Made Fan out of Ford Owner
Dave Follet has been a fan of Banks since his teens. “I grew up reading Hot Rod and Car Craft, reading all about Gale’s racing projects,” explains Dave. I’ve always followed him, and I’ve always had respect for Gale and his products.” So when it came to his 2017 Ford F-250 Power Stroke, it was an opportunity to get a piece of that history on his truck. “My last purchase was an iDash SuperGauge with a Stealth Pod Mount, and before that was a Ram-Air Intake and a Monster Exhaust. The intake and exhaust were bought primarily to increase economy. I tow a 24-foot travel trailer. I did a couple of comparisons with it going on identical trips, before and after. I calculated about a 10% improvement in mileage.”
“I bought the iDash to help me keep an eye out for the oil temperature, the transmission temperature, the EGR, and DPF regen status. I have one of the information pages set up, and I’m playing around with the remaining four customizable pages. I’ve made each page a different color. I’ve watched some of Banks’ videos and came across the one where Kate was showing off the top 10 features of the iDash. I can’t believe how much this iDash has to offer.”
David isn’t done outfitting his truck with Banks. “I think my next upgrade is going to be the Ram-Air Rear Differential Cover. I like everything that I’ve seen about it. For my money, Banks products are the best.”
