Tonka Truck set to tour the country with Banks Power on board

You remember Tonka Toys, right? How’d you like to play with this one? Tonka Trucks and Galpin Auto Sports took a Ford 6.7L truck and turned it into toy for big boys, then Banks was asked to give it some real power.

Funrise Toy Corporation, the licensee and manufacturer of Tonka, has selected Banks Power as the Official Powertrain Performance Partner on its 2012 Ford F250 6.7L Super Duty Tonka T-Rex.

This custom full-size sandbox icon has been built to bring awareness to the Tonka brand. Appearances will be scheduled at retailer events, promotional events, shows and parades throughout the year. Media exposure includes features in industry and toy/parent magazines and various social media platforms.

Banks Power upgrades include a Ram-Air® Intake System, Banks iQ® Flash with AutoMind® Programmer, Monster® Diesel Exhaust, and Double Shot^TM High-Output Water Methanol System.

The Banks components are engineered to work together to improve airflow, cut backpressure, and lower exhaust temperatures. By tuning the truck’s fuel injection, ignition, and transmission shift characteristics, the Banks AutoMind delivers up to a 20-percent improvement in fuel economy while at the same time adding 151 HP and 240 LB-FT at the rear wheels.
