King of the Hammers race report

Banks Power is proud to sponsor a Jeep that competes in the “King of the Hammers” race, and we’re super proud of their results!

For those of you who didn’t know, the King of the Hammers race is the largest off-road race in the world. According to one Banks Power employee, it’s “a million times bigger than the Baja 1000.” We might have to do some fact checking on that claim, but we feel safe in asserting that this event is indeed huge, with over 30,000 spectators flocking to Johnson Valley, Ca, for a whole week. The race is 165 miles long, with both high-speed section as well as technical rock crawling portions.

The Banks-sponsored Team NAXJA/Petty Cash Racing finished second in their class at last week’s KOH race. The Jeep Cherokee is equipped with a Banks Revolver Header and a Banks Monster Muffler. Our own CAD designer James is the crew chief. Congratulations team!
