Coming Soon: Monster-Ram for RAM Chassis Cab
RAM chassis cab owners, we’ve heard you and the Monster-Ram is coming soon for your trucks too! It’s no secret that RAM 6.7L owners have been reporting increased air intake heater failures resulting in severe engine damage. Learn more about the problem here. Few see more constant duty use than chassis cab trucks. Tow trucks, ambulance providers, and construction companies are just a few of the many outfits that have requested Monster-Ram intake systems for their fleets. Engine failure isn’t just an inconvenience. It’s a business killer.
Currently, Banks Mechanical Engineers are scanning and testing various RAM 6.7L chassis cab configurations. There are variations in EGR harnesses and cross-over tubes. Ultimately, we may end up offering as many as three or more configurations. Notice the 3D scanning dots on the engine above. This allows our engineers to transfer all pertinent engine components into CAD.
As it does with 2007-2022 RAM 2500 and 3500 HDs, the Monster-Ram will prevent grid heater failure by replacing the assembly with a high-flow billet intake plate. Pre-heating the air is handled by an efficient coil-style heater nestled vertically within the Monster-Ram. But the benefits of the system don’t stop there. It flows 88.3% more air mass than stock. This increase in air density provides improved throttle response and fuel economy, as well as additional overhead for tuned high-horsepower engines.
