2023 RAM 2500 Rebel goes all Banks
When it was time for Steve Barton to buy his new truck, he went with a RAM 2500 and chose the Rebel package. It turns out 2023 is the first time this trim has been offered on a 2500 and 3500. It’s akin to Ford’s Tremor package. After an extensive search, Steve located one in Utah, so off he went from California to get it. “I went with the 2500 over the 1500 because I wanted it to be capable of towing heavier loads. When they came out with that package, I jumped on to the first one that I could get. My next step was heading to Banks because I’m a believer in their diesel products.”
“Quality and longevity are the goals for everything going on this truck. The videos on YouTube from Banks and other RAM owners convinced me that the Monster-Ram Intake, Ram-Air, Boost Tube upgrades, and the Ram-Air Diff Cover were a great investment. Watching Gale compare his products against others with the equipment that he was using, you could tell that he’s a pro, and knows more than the other guys. I was going to have another shop do the installation, but I decided to have it all done at Banks. The cost was about the same and I wanted it done by someone who does the installations every day.”
Steve’s truck is a monster, and he’s made it into something that he can take anywhere and just enjoy the outdoors. “I’ve got a Carli lift on it, and I’ll be running 35″ tires soon. Next up from Banks will be the Monster Exhaust. The extra power is great, and this truck lets me go just about anywhere. Just two weeks ago I was up in Mammoth, spending the night on the Owens River. I woke up in my tent to a great morning with a little fishing. When I bought this truck I just transferred all of my camping gear over from my ’97 Ford F-350 Power Stroke to this one, and surprisingly, everything fit. I still have the Ford. It has 430,000 miles on it, and it’s still going strong. This one is much nicer to drive, though.”
