Kroeker-Banks KORE Baja 1000 Dodge Cummins
First diesel to finish Baja 1000

The Kroeker-Banks 2003 Dodge 2500 turbocharged 5.9L Cummins diesel, racing in the Stock Full Class at the 2004 Baja 1000, became the first diesel-powered vehicle to finish the grueling race. Outfitted with a Banks Big Hoss® Bundle, Kent Kroeker not only raced his truck, he was able drive his truck to the event from San Diego, carried more than 400 pounds of equipment in the bed, and drove back home after the race from the bottom of Baja. In the truck’s first Baja 1000, the KORE truck finished third in its class and got and incredible 12.5 mpg.
