The ’66 Chevy is getting some major upgrades including a supercharged 2021 Duramax L5P diesel engine. But the surprises don’t stop there. Gale and the team reveal the rusty pickup will be fitted with a Roadster Shop Spec Series chassis, Wilwood TX6R big brake kit, Nitto Tires, Black Rhino Hard Alloy 8-lug wheels, and RideTech air suspension. And, that’s just the beginning!

The Banks team meets virtually with Jeff Transou, an automotive designer. He’s famous for conceptualizing high-profile cars for celebrities and well-known brands. Jeff created designs for Paris Hilton, Kid Rock, and many more big names. West Coast Customs is just one of the other shows he’s been featured on. Every nut, bolt, and pinstripe is unique.

Our ’66 Chevy is going to be quite a challenge, but we have no doubt that Jeff can take it on. The big question is, how will he deal with all the rust on it? Watch the whole video to see what kind of upgrades will happen to our $1 truck.

Afterward, the next step is to design a chassis that will support the heavier and much wider engine. But this could be a challenge since the goal is to lay the truck on the ground.
