Super Duty Cooling

Ed Bemis works his truck, and for him, the factory power level is just fine for what he does. He’s resigned himself to not messing with the “original recipe”, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want it to last as long as possible. That thought process led him to the Ram-Air Differential, and he couldn’t be happier about his decision. “What a sweet and perfectly engineered addition to my Super Duty! I have a 2019, it is the 6.7 L Diesel and I consider it a BEAST. It yanks our 25’ Rockwood Row Travel Trailer around and can do it on Cruise Control going uphill without a sweat. Basically, NOT an Airstream, and I pull a large billboard around directly behind my truck when not traveling. I added the Banks Ram-Air Differential Cover because I actually use my truck and want it to last. The BLING of the cover was like the icing on the cake!

“Ford’s factory solution is no gasket and just using silicone, and if you want to change your oil at a less than factory interval because you USE your truck for what it was designed to do, it’s just a mess. I’m not really that special of a person and a majorly “minor” mechanic, but Banks makes changing the lube SO EASY on the Ram-Air Diff Cover with the fill and drain plugs.  Having a sight glass is something that should be mandatory on ALL diff since there’s no dipstick for you to pull out and see if things “look ok or not,” if you catch my thinking. So far, the diff cover has been the only upgrade/mod I have added to my truck.  I’m not into messing with the “factory tune” or emissions like others I know… so there’s not much else I would add on. BUT… I’ll read up on the PedalMonster more, watch some of the videos, and if I ever get the itch will be back!”

Ed found one more bonus feature that came from buying the Banks diff cover: the Banks emblem sticker. “I had a small dent on my tailgate from a stone that was on the bumper when the tailgate opened and hit it. Banks provided 2 cool gel-style “BANKS” Logo stickers in my purchase. One of them covered up that dent, and NOW it is gone! Well… TECHNICALLY I know the dent still remains, but at least I don’t have to look at it anymore!”
