Quality builds with a dealership touch
Mike Rice is the Manager of Adventure Off-Road’s flagship store, adjacent to the Huntington Beach Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram dealership in Huntington Beach, California. The location opened up in April of 2019 and was quickly followed by 3 more stores (one in Anaheim, another in Tustin at the GMC dealer, and one at the Chino Hills Ford). Mike says the main bread-and-butter at his location is trucks and Jeeps, but there is an unexpected segment his location has become known for. “Surprisingly the Chevy Colorado is a big market for us,” said Mike, “which doesn’t bother me at all. The funny thing is that no one wanted to upgrade them. We’ve become the home for modifying them here in Southern California. We get people from all over California bringing their Colorados here to be upgraded. Just because I’m in a Dodge/Ram dealership doesn’t mean I won’t touch anything else. I do Raptors, Broncos… we don’t limit ourselves to one specific brand.”
The visionary behind Adventure Off-Road is Dan Fresh, General/Brand Manager of Adventure Off Road. Dan is an off-road enthusiast that races in Baja and King of the Hammers. To him, the basis for the business was to make something that wasn’t just a shop that focused on a particular vehicle type, but rather one that welcomes all vehicles and embraces the off-road culture as a whole.
Builds are only done using top-shelf parts, and the quality and care taken to make all of the modifications to the vehicles are professionally done. Most of the employees at all of the locations are off-road enthusiasts, testing and using products they sell. “We like to practice what we preach here. Running top-notch products like Banks is something we all do here because they work, and work well. The goal is to give our customers a trouble-free vehicle experience because no one likes to have parts that fail… especially when you’re out in the middle of nowhere having fun.”
