New Banks Monster Exhaust for 2024-2026 Duramax
The world’s only true 5″ DPF-back exhaust is now available!

Gale explains how we did it
Watch Gale Banks explain how we accomplished something that no other exhaust manufacturer could. We decreased exhaust backpressure without triggering a check engine light.
What Monster Exhaust does
By reducing exhaust backpressure after the DPF, the system liberates otherwise lost horsepower and fuel efficiency.
You’ll get:
- Improved fuel economy
- Quicker throttle response
- Protection from melting your trailer
- Massive, great looking exhuast tip
- Patented module that enables airflow improvements

No more melted trailers!
The factory Duramax “trumpet” or dual-walled venturi tip is widely disliked for its appearance. Worse, it points straight backward, which directs active DPF regeneration heat right at your trailer.
The Monster Exhaust is aimed out to the side of the truck. This allows ambient air to diffuse the heated gas, eliminating the risk of melting a trailer.

Why did it take so long?
Because no one had ever done it before.
In 2024, GM added additional emission-related checks for the exhaust system, measuring the DPF’s pressure differential. When exhaust back pressure is reduced after the DPF, such as with a 5″ exhaust, the engine control module thinks the DPF is over-full with soot, sets a check engine light, and reduces engine power. Meanwhile the DPF may actually be empty and free-flowing.
To overcome this obstacle, we engineered the patented Banks Exhaust Pressure Module (shown in photo below), which installs in-line with the DPF delta pressure sensor. The module recalibrates the sensor signal, then sends it to the ECM. This corrected signal permits significantly improved exhaust flow.
