American Boat Haulers and a Duramax Fleet

Matt Mehlhaus owns and operates American Boat Haulers. At any time his fleet of 2021 to 2023 fully-loaded GMC Sierra Denalis needs to be ready to travel anywhere to transport of any shape and size. “I actually have a few larger trucks for the more extreme jobs,” said Matt. “But 85% of the work uses my GMCs. I like to use new trucks, so the drivers are comfortable since they spend so much time on the road. I buy them new, and within six months they’re paid off.”

“These trucks have a ridged maintenance schedule and we use AMSOIL products on the entire truck except for the tranny. I use GM’s recommended transmission fluid. I need things that I can depend on, which is why I decided to try out the Banks Ram-Air for two of my trucks. Afterward, we racked up 169K and 180K miles on these trucks since installing the intakes. I chose to go with the dry filter for ease of maintenance, and in that entire time, we’ve never had a single check engine light. The trucks run strong, and I’ve noticed a bit better mileage subsequently.”

American Boat Haulers have a huge fleet of Duramax trucks.

“I’m actually thinking about putting the Ram-Air on more of my trucks, and I’m looking at the Monster Exhaust System for them as well. The way the stock exhaust is made, it blows super-hot exhaust right at what I’m towing. Going with the Banks intake and exhaust looks like a smart idea.”

Surely, we’re happy we could help American Boat Haulers keep hauling.
