Manual Bronco Gets Intelligent Boost

Chuck Fers has something that you don’t see every day: a 2023 Ford Bronco with a a 2.3L turbocharged 4-cylinder backed by a manual transmission. In a world where the manual transmissions are going the way of the dodo, Chuck’s Bronco is truly the anomaly is a sea of automatics. But as cool as his Bronco is, it’s not a  powerhouse… putting on larger all-terrain tires sapped some of the power. Enter the PedalMonster and iDash SuperGauge to save the day. “It gave it quite a bump in performance, that’s for sure! I have the PedalMonster all the up in TRACK mode. What can I say, I like a quick response! With the larger 35-inch tires, the thing was pretty sluggish before, but now it’s just a ton of fun to drive. You’d think it wouldn’t be quick, but the PedalMonster changed that!”

With the iDash SuperGauge controlling the PedalMonster, Chuck has it set up right where he can easily select his throttle response, and he can see everything that’s important to him at a glance. “I love how I can change the throttle sensitivity settings through the iDash with the touch of a button and how it enables me to tailor it for off-road conditions and rock crawling. I have the iDash right where I can see everything, rather than looking down at the instrument cluster. It’s a great setup, and a fun one!”
