iDash, a Tuner’s Dream

Charles Sprague just bought the truck of his dreams, a brand-new 2024 Ford F-250 6.7LPower Stroke. “I love this truck!,” said Charles with absolute glee. “I’ve wanted one of these for quite a while, and my buddy got me a deal that I couldn’t pass up. As soon as I got it I went straight to Banks. I pulled the trigger on getting the iDash SuperGaugePedalMonster, and I’m considering buying even more. The iDash is incredible. I spent the weekend going through everything. It’s a mini-computer, and you can totally customize it. I used to be into tuning, specifically drag and European vehicles, and this would have been a game-changer! Things have come a long way from the days when I had to use MS-DOS on separate computers for specific data that I needed to improve my tunes. If I had this thing 15-20 years ago, I would have had an edge at the race track.”

“I pulled the trigger on getting the iDash SuperGauge, PedalMonster, and I’m considering buying even more.” These upgrades are also featured in the RAM Hauler Improvements article where towing performance is a top priority.

Power Stroke with iDash installed

“My goal is to monitor all of the stuff I see on my truck, especially when it comes to towing. EGT, transmission, coolant—all the temperatures are important to keep an eye on. With the iDash, I can fine-tune my selections and create information-specific screens with the layout colored how I want them to look. I can even set alarms. How cool is that?”

PedalMonster tuning setup

“The PedalMonster is pretty incredible, too. You can fine-tune the response to be exactly what you want. Right now, I’m just running it on CITY level 5. Man, what a difference! Why would Ford not have this response from the factory? I mean, the truck is an amazing machine with gobs of power, yet you can’t feel it. With the PedalMonster, the truck just wakes up. I run 37″ tires and just lifted it. If I switch the PedalMonster to TRACK mode, it’ll blow the rear tires loose. Another thing that I like about it is that if I go to the dealership for anything, it leaves no traces on the ECU. All I need to do is remove it. It just takes a few minutes. It’s perfect!
