Monster-Ram Makes The Difference
Vance Prichett has a ton of experience with his work equipment, both operating and wrenching. Learning how to rebuild engines and transmissions at a young age, he can spot what will work and what is just hype. When it came to the Banks Monster-Ram intake elbow, he knew it was the real deal. “I’d been waiting on Banks to make a Monster-Ram for my 2011 Ram 5500 2-ton for a while, then when the sales rep called me up to let me know that it was available, I snapped one up. The truck is always pulling equipment, it’s always loaded to the gills, and the fuel mileage has drastically improved since the installation. There’s more power on tap, and the turbo spools up faster.”
“That stock manifold is such a restriction, and I knew that Monster-Ram would free up the airflow. I mean, you can think of the truck as having asthma. I’ll give you an example of the change. There’s a hill that I would normally be able to climb at 90 KPH with no load, but afterward, we could do 130 KPH with room to go and no problem. Keep in mind that the truck has 4:44 gears, too. Banks has cured this truck’s breathing problem.”
