What happens with just an Intake?

YouTube channel Wheels and Wood chronicled their installation of the Banks Ram-Air Intake System on their stock 2014 RAM with a 6.7L Cummins and were pleased with the results of this single modification. “It sounds a little bit deeper, the acceleration is improved and overall the truck breathes a lot better. The exhaust brake is a night and day difference in the power that it had before with the Ram-Air installed.” Based on a short mileage loop that was done after installation the RAM showed a small bump in economy, a bonus that in time will probably get even better.
