2018 Nissan Titan XD Diesel
The Nissan Titan is a stout truck, and definitely has its fair share of fans. Arriving on the scene first in 2003, the Nissan Titan’s first-generation ran until 2015. During that time the only engine available was a 32-valve, 5.6-liter V8. When Nissan debuted the second generation in 2016 a diesel option was offered as an available power option. Unfortunately that was only available until the 2019 model year. That being said, there are not many performance products available for the short-lived engine. Diesel Titan owner Rich knows the lack of available products all too well. “I love this truck, but it takes a while to get it to move. Until it gets going it’s a slug.”
Rich had heard about the Banks PedalMonster, and with a quick and easy install done in a parking lot with absolutely no hand tools, he was ready to see if this little device could deliver on its promise of a quicker throttle response that is fully controlled by the driver. “Acceleration right out the gate, no hesitation, smooth!” was Rich’s smile-filled assessment. “It definitely feels now like I don’t have to stomp on my pedal all the way to the floor to get the full response out of the engine. It feels like the modulation that I am giving the pedal is the actual response I’m getting out of the truck. Yeah, this is way awesome!”
