ENGINEERING UNBOXED: Ford F-250 Makeover!

We’re doing an F-250 Makeover! Our 2019 Ford F-250 needed a makeover so we called a few friends. Introducing the Banks Sidewinder. Gale likes everything about it, but the wheels, tires, bed, and stance. Don’t worry, he’s got a solution!

Gale starts by unboxing some Black Rhino Axles. These are great because they look like what is on the up-armored Humvee that Banks is so familiar with as a company. If you recall, once the Humvee was up-armored, they were severely underpowered and they called Banks to assist with that. Now every JTLV produced has a Banks branded engine in it, so these wheels pay homage to the Banks history.

The history of Banks gets some homage with this F-250 Makeover. Specifically, the up-armored Humvee Banks overhauled to get more power and the wheels on them.

After the tires, Gale unboxes some badass tires from Toyo. These are newly released. Its speed is rated at 106 miles per hour. These tires put more tire surfaces on the road for better wet handling. Changes like this can add to road noise, but Toyo took care of that!

Naturally, after the wheels and tires Gale unboxes the BDS Suspension to fix the clearance problem. We’re going to be towing with this truck and putting it on the dyno, so this system will be absolutely perfect for all of that. Fox Shocks will be added all around.
